Work and working conditions are essential contributors to employee satisfaction and productivity. Therefore, an employer who subjects employees to high demanding jobs with low security, unfair pay, and little control is likely to experience losses as a result of employee turnover and inefficiency in production. This implies that the employer would incur additional financial resources in a bid to recruit and train new employees (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart & Wright, 2013). Employees exhibit signs of dissatisfaction and low morale, which is detrimental and dangerous in the workplace. As a result, professional relationships suffer, especially due to poor performance that affects the quality of services and products. In turn, dissatisfied customers opt to seek the quantity and quality they deserve from a competitor.
