Philosophy is the fundamental beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors of individuals towards specific activities which drive them to put in more effort while performing particular tasks. Personal philosophy is, therefore, the aspiration, control, satisfier, beliefs, and benefits that encourage individuals to engage in specific tasks.

In the field of nursing, individuals believe that health care provided to individuals is not a job but a calling. Health care should never be treated as a source of income. it should be treated as an opportunity to help others feel better.

Nurses believe that their mission and duty is to provide health care to those patients in need without considering race, gender, and financial status.

The personal philosophy of nurses directs them to be responsible for the safety of the public. Even when not on duty a nurse has a responsibility to take care of any health issue that may arise in their surroundings. They have a role in the community always to ensure a disease-free and healthy population.

Nurses are also believed to be kind, caring, honest, hope givers and encourages which help them in carrying out their duties.

In a nursing career, personal philosophy is fundamental since it acts as a director, motivator, and encourage nurses in performing their duties. Patient health care is enhanced when nurses are made to believe that they were born to specifically make others feel better.

Nurses perform their tasks excellently without expecting a lot in return thanks to the personal philosophy of nursing. Patient care is made useful by the nurse’s characteristics of caring, encouraging and kindness.

The personal philosophy of nursing gives healthcare providers the ability to be patient with the healing processes of individuals. Nurses can persevere the boredom, challenges, and difficulty presented by patients as they react to medications administered.

They can perform their role of healthcare provision in the society without expectation of anything in return.it is made possible because of the belief that nursing profession is not just a job but a calling to make individuals feel better in the society.
